Career Overview:
Initially appointed to the Investment Board in 1985 to represent active members of the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)...following his retirement after serving for eleven years as the Executive Director of the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE), reappointed to the Board in 1993 to represent retired members of PERS.

•Chair of the WSIB's Public Markets Committee & a Member of the Private Markets and Audit committees
•A Member of the state's Salary Setting and Productivity Boards & an active member of the local Chapter of State Employee Retirees

•Served as Director of Field Services and was an Area Representative for the WFSE; worked as a Disability Claims Adjudicator for Washington's Department of Labor and Industries
•Was Vice President of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) & was a member of the Washington State Labor Council Executive Board. |
